This large 33” long spear thrower is I believe, hand carved from a beautiful piece of mulga wood.
It is a 'male' spear thrower, meaning it has a wooden peg at one end that is held in place with kangaroo sinew. This is insert into a conical depression in the bottom of the hunting spears.
