Here on offer is a rare antique integral quill cutter and 6” folding bone ruler, circa 1820.

This is a very rare quill cutter and folding ruler and the only example I can find is an image of this type of tool which appears in Joseph Smith’s ‘Explanation or Key to the Various Manufactories of Sheffield’, this is also known ‘Smith’s Key’ published in 1816.

WW1 Ink Blotter made from Teak Wood from HMS Iron Duke – Jellicoe’s Falgship - Jutland 1916

Here on offer is a GENUINE piece of teak wood from the famous Battleship, HMS Iron Duke that has been made into a fine desk ink blotter.

The Blotter unscrews at the handle so that blotting paper can be inserted and then clamped into position.

It measures 12.6cm (5”) wide, 7.6cm (3”) high and 5.2cm (2”) deep and weighs 132g.

All the dagger fittings have a plated finish, including the scabbard but do show some signs of aged plating loss.

This large 33” long spear thrower is I believe, hand carved from a beautiful piece of mulga wood.
