WW2 - 4” Naval Shell - Bottle Holder -“Coal Scuttle” Presented to the Cardigan Arms Pub - Moulton 1944

Hear on offer is an unusual WW2 “trench art” presentation bottle holder, that looks like a “coal scuttle”, made from 4” Naval artillery shells.

The coal shuttle has been really well made and includes a swivel handle. The whole piece has then been chrome plated and has the following dedication inscribed on the front:

Here on offer is great example of a now inert, original WW2 No.36 Type II British 'Rifle' Mills grenade made by BBC and now converted to a table lighter.

The front of the main body of the grenade has the letters BBC stamped on it (with a rivet covering the central “B”), which indicates the maker of the body was the British Bath Co, of Greenford, London.
