WW2 Period Large Bronzed Copper Cigarette Box Linked to The Dorsetshire Regiment
Here on offer is unusual WW2 period, bronzed copper cigarette box that has the emblem for The Dorsetshire Regiment displayed on the top of the lid.
The lid has cut-out sections with a fitted glass panel below, that allow the red card to show through.
The hinged box has a removable/adjustable wooden section allowing the content size to be adjusted and it could even hold playing cards.
The box is in great condition, now having a fine dark patina to the metal. There is just a small spilt to one corner of the lid at the front.
It measures 6” (15.2cm) by 3.5” (8.9cm) by 2.25” (5.8cm) and weighs a heavy 433g.
