WW2 Private Purchased Fixed Blade 4" Knife with Leather Sheath
Here on offer is what I believe to be a WW2 period private purchased small fixed blade knife with original leather sheath.
This came from an ex-museum stock that was donated by ex-British service men after WW2.
Being small, it was an easy knife to conceal on a service belt under a uniform, similar to the small knives used by SOE personal during WW2.
The knife itself has a 4” thin but strong fixed, single edge curved steel blade. The blade is in excellent condition with just some minor pitting and light scratch marks. There are no issue or maker’s marks that I can see.
The grip is made up of two plain wooden slabs of what I think is teak, held in place by three steel pins.
The brown leather sheath shows minor wear marks through use and retains the belt slot in the upper section.
The blade measures 4” (10cm) and the overall length of the knife is 7” (17.8cm).
It weighs 65g.
