Here on offer is a vintage “Cashs of Coventry” miniature woven silk framed picture of an 1850 mounted Royal Horse Guards Officer.

The picture is made entirely from woven silk threads and will fade if exposed to direct sunlight or excess humidity.

This fine glazed and framed example is in excellent original condition and retains all its bright colouring.

Unusual WW1 China Model of a ZEPPELIN – with the Crest for the ARMS OF WALES

Here on offer is an unusual WW1 china “crest-ware” model of a zeppelin with the crest for the arms of Wales.

What makes this example unusual is the size which is larger than normal being 6.75” (17.3cm) long and the fact it has a “nipple” section extending from the rear, near the fins for a stanhope viewer that is now sadly missing.

This early type has some fine detailing and would have originally contained a drinking spirit, possibly whiskey with a cork stopper.

Here on offer is an interesting and beautifully carved walnut shaped Black Forest wooden inkwell, that I was told relates to a German prisoner of war detained in Portugal during WW1.

The story goes that when Portugal went from being a neutral country to entering WW1 on the side of the allies in 1916, they interned 36 German and Austro-Hungarian ships in Lisbon.
