Vintage Scout Knife by William Rodgers “I CUT MY WAY” with Faux Stag Antler Grip and Original Leather Sheath

Here on offer is a vintage scout knife by William Rodgers “I CUT MY WAY” with a fine looking faux stag antler grip and new its original dark brown leather sheath.

The blade is in excellent condition with a mirror finish with just some minor dark staining, mainly on the ricasso and top edge.

The grip has a brass single finger guard (with slight movement) and brass and coloured red and black ringed spacers at both ends of the faux stag antler centre section. The faux stag antler is very convincing and seems to have been made in one piece as you can’t see and join/mold lines.

At the top it is fitted with a solid oval shaped polished aluminium pommel that secures the blade tang with a recessed hexagonal brass nut at the top.

The bowie shaped blade now has a sharp cutting edge and you can just make out the makers details on the ricasso:

On the other side, I think it is stamped with:

MADE IN
SHEFFIELD
ENGLAND

It comes with its original dark brown leather sheath that retains the strap at the top and is stamped:

MADE IN ENGLAND

On the slotted belt loop.

It also still has the rarely seen William Rodgers “FULLY GARENTEED” gold and red coloured maker’s label, on the back, as shown in my photos.

The blade measures 4.2” (10.5cm) long and the knife itself is a total of 8” (20.5cm) long.

Including the sheath, it weighs 120g.
