Here on offer is an unusual WW1 sweetheart brooch made from a cap badge for The 18th County of London Battalion (London Irish)

The original white metal cap badge retains all of its original fine detailing and displays a silver finish.

On the back, the retaining slider has been professionally removed and a fixing pin and “C” clasp has been fitted, enabling it to be worn as a brooch.

It measures 1.9” (5cm) by 1” (2.5cm) and weighs 7g.
