Mint Kissing Crane Manual Folding Stiletto Lock Back Knife with 4” Blade c2017
Here on offer is a mint example of a manual folding stiletto lock back knife, with a 4” blade, circa 2017.
Now, there seems to be a lot of discussion on blade forums about these knives and it appears that from around 2009, ALL knife production of KISSING CRANE knives, was transferred to China.
From the details on the knife, this version of a KISSING CRANE stiletto, was actually hand crafted in China, circa 2017.
It has a polished 4” stainless steel pointed blade with a 3.25” sharp single cutting edge.
On one side it is etched with the image of a stiletto dagger and the word STILETTO, along with:
KISSING CRANE (image of kissing cranes) SINCE 1834
and on the ricasso, the KISSING CANE logo.
On the other side it is stamped:
KC5481
2017
Stainless Steel
Handcrafted in China
The blade has a nail pull grove to manually open it and it locks securely in place. You then press the release latch on the top edge to fold and close the blade.
The grip is made up from two dark Pakkawood scales, that are held in place by three brass pins.
On the front it is inset with a KISSING CRANE logo brass disc.
It has polished brass bolsters and a slightly hook shaped finger guard.
The blade measures 4” (10.2cm) long with a 3.25” (8.3cm) cutting edge and the knife is 8.75” (22.3cm) long when open.
It weighs 94g.
