Large 20” Curved Cattle Horn Powder Flask with Carrying Strap and Horn Stopper

Here on offer is a large 20” curved cattle horn powder flask with carrying strap and horn stopper.

The horn has been fitted with a shaped wooden bung at the wide open end, that is held in place with five metal pins.

The tip has a shaped horn bung that has a small strap attached to ensure it doesn’t get lost when removed.

It is fitted with a strong material backed leatherette carrying strap.

The horn is in excellent condition, with a natural surface crack towards the tip and a couple of nicks to the finish. There is some slight nibbling to part of the bottom edge that could be rubbed smooth.

It will make a great display piece, or can be used as a reenactment powder flask.

It measures 20” (61cm) long (excluding the curve) and is 3” (7.8cm) at the base.

It weighs 440g.
