Vintage Scout Knife by William Rodgers “I CUT MY WAY” with Stacked Leather Grip and New Handmade Leather Sheath

Here on offer is a vintage scout knife by William Rodgers “I CUT MY WAY” with stacked leather grip and new handmade leather sheath.

Someone has spent a lot of time restoring this vintage scout knife, which now has a highly polished “mirror finish” blade with some light pitting still showing to the finish.

The grip has a brass single finger guard and brass and coloured red and black ringed spacers at both ends of the stacked leather centre section.

At the top it is fitted with a solid oval shaped polished aluminium pommel that secures the blade tang with a recessed hexagonal brass nut at the top.

The bowie shaped blade now has a very sharp cutting edge and you can just make out the makers details on the ricasso:

On the other side, I think it is stamped with:

SHEFFIELD
ENGLAND

The new sheath has been made hand from a brown coloured leather with a rough grain finish on the front. It has been stitched together with thick twine and has a nipple stud retaining strap.

The blade measures 4.5” (11.4cm) long and the knife itself is a total of 8.4” (21.2cm) long.

Including the sheath, it weighs 165g.
