Here on offer is a vintage german pewter brooch depicting the two famous German story characters, Max and Moritz.

Max and Moritz are the mischievous main characters from the famous 1865 German illustrated story by Wilhelm Busch. The book depicts seven tales of two naughty boys playing cruel pranks, ultimately leading to their comical but grim downfall, becoming classic figures in German culture, inspiring comics like “The Katzenjammer Kids” and appearing on countless German merchandise, like this vintage brooch.

The badge still has a fixing pin and “C” clasp on the reverse.

The badge is in excellent condition, with no damage.

It measures 1” (2.4cm) wide by 0.9” (2.3cm) high.
