Original Household Cavalry Warrant Officer’s EIIR Gilt and Enamel Cap Badge

Here on offer is a finely detailed example of a Household Cavalry Warrant Officer’s EIIR gilt and enamel cap badge, by J.R. Gaunt of London.

The cap badge has a pierced gilt crowned Garter set on blue enamel and a voided centre with EIIR Cypher set on red enamel.

On the reverse it has a brass slider fitting, stamped with the makers details:

J.R. GAUNT LONDON

This fine example is in excellent condition with no damage to the enamel.

It measures 1.25” (3.2cm) wide by 1.9” (4.8cm) high and weighs 13g.
