RAF Pilot’s Notes for MOSQUITO Mks F11 & NF.XII with Merlin 21 or 23 engines with amendments for NF.XIII, NF.XXVII & NF.XIX models and Merlin 25 engines c1944

Here on offer is an original copy of an RAF Pilot’s Notes for MOSQUITO Marks F11 and (Night Fighter) NF.XII models with Merlin 21 or 23 engines which has had updated hand written amendments to include the NF.XIII, NF.XVII & NF.XIX models and Merlin 25 engines.

This official Air Publication reference A.P.2019B & G -P.N.., 2nd edition, was originally printed in August 1943 and then reprinted in January 1944.

What is interesting about this copy, is it has had two amendments applied in May 1944, which have been ‘hand written’ throughout the cover and notes, so it included the later models and engines.

The booklet has 36 pages with pullout diagrams and photos.

Part I covers a general DESCRIPTION of the aircraft including fuel and oil systems; aircraft controls; engine controls; other controls including gun, camera and oxygen; heating controls etc.
Part II deals with HANDLING, Part III covers OPERATING DATA, Part IV EMERGENCIES including engine failures, parachutes, ditching and dinghies.
Part V has ILLUSTRATIONS of the cockpit.

The cover is a bit creased/marked with light surface abrasion, dog-eared edges/corners. The pages are a little discoloured but generally in good used condition.

The booklet is actually in excellent condition with just a little fading to the edges of the cover.
The inner pages and diagrams are in excellent original condition.

It measures 7.5” (19cm) by 5” (12.7cm) and weighs 54g.
