Vintage English Lambsfoot Knife made in Sheffield
Here on offer is a vintage Lambsfoot knife made in Sheffield.
The grip has two black imitation stag antler scales, made from a hard plastic that are in great condition, no damage. They are held in place against the steel liners, by three steel pins. It has a polished brass bolster and is fitted with a steel swivel lanyard ring, at the end.
The 3.5” Lambsfoot shaped blade retains a good cutting edge but now display some dark staining to the finish that may polish out? There is also a tiny nick to the blade on the top edge near the tip.
It opens and closes well with a strong spring and no “wobble”.
There is no maker’s mark on this knife, but on one side of the ricasso it is stamped with:
MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENG
The blade measures 3.5” (8.8cm) long with a 2.9” (7.3cm) cutting edge.
The knife is 7.2” (18.3cm) long when open (excluding the ring) and weighs 67g.
