WW2 Womens Voluntary Service WVS Civil Defence Badge by L. Simpson & Co London

Here on offer is an original Women's Voluntary Service for Civil Defence (WVS) badge with King's Crown, issued between 1939 and 1947.

This is a fine quality chromium plated badge that is inlaid with red enamel, with both the chrome plating and red enamel are still in excellent condition.

On the reverse it has the scarce maker's details of:

L. SIMPSON & CO
LONDON

It also still retains its original pin and “C” clasp.

It measures 1.” (2.9cm) by 0.8” (2cm) and
weighs 7.2g.
