Beautiful Original Vintage Lignum Vita British Police Truncheon c1950

Here on offer is a beautiful example of an original vintage British Police truncheon made from lignum vita, circa 1950.

This fine truncheon has the usual turned grip and long lower shaped section, without any markings or maker’s details. It appears to be made from a dense section of lignum vita, that now has a beautiful patina.

It appears to be the style used from the 1950’s or possibly earlier?

The truncheon is in excellent condition with just some minimal light scratches/rub marks.

The truncheon itself measures 15” (38cm) long, by 1.5” (3.9cm) diameter at the wide end.

It weighs a heavy 370g.
