Original WW2 RAF Spitfire Fund Raising Pin/Brooch c1942

Here on offer is an original WW2 RAF Spitfire fund raising pin/brooch, which is in the form of a metal RAF Spitfire fighter aircraft.

This example is slightly more unusual in that it still retains a lot of the original red paint to what looks like a silver or nickel alloy body?

This is also the type that has a steel pin fitted on the back as opposed to the more common lapel stud.

It measures 1” (2.5cm) long by 1.25” (3.1cm) wide and weighs 2.5g.
