Original Royal Navy Boatswains Bosun Whistle and 60” Brass Chain - Named to P. MOORE

Here on offer is an original Royal Navy boatswains bosun whistle and 60” long brass chain, named to a P. MOORE.

On one side it has been hand engraved with the sailor’s name: P. MOORE.

On the other side it is stamped with:

MADE IN
ENGLAND

I can’t accurately date this example, but from others I have seen I would guess it was from the WW2 period or just after.

It is in great condition with some very minor loss of plating to the finish. It is in working order, with a very loud pitched whistle!

It also comes with its original 60” (30” loop) long brass chain attached, which now has a nice dark patina to the finish.

The whistle measures 4.5” (11.4cm) long and with the chain weighs 67g.
