Original German WW1 1914 Iron Cross Medal 2nd Class

Here on offer is a great example of a WW1 1914 German Iron Cross medal 2nd class.

This great example retains the black finish to the centre and shows genuine age tarnishing to the silver frame, that will clean off if required, but I prefer to leave that option to the next owner.

I can see a triangular stamp on suspension ring, but I can’t make out a maker mark or letter as such?

It comes with a shortened length of ribbon that has been folded and you can just see two pin holes where it has been fixed to a display board at some point in its life.

It measures approximately 1.75” (4.4cm) square and weighs 19.8g.
