Original Torbay Aircraft Museum German ME109 Large “1 Pint” Souvenir Mug by Britannia Designs – Dartmouth Pottery c1960

Here on offer is an original Torbay Aircraft Museum German ME109 large “1 Pint” capacity” thick china souvenir mug, by Britannia Designs – Dartmouth Pottery, circa 1960.

On the front it features a transfer printed line illustration of the iconic German WW2 fighter, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 commonly called the ME109, that I believe the Torbay Museum had a full size replica of at the time.

On the reverse is the logo for the Torbay Aircraft Museum that I believe closed back in the 1980’s.

On the base is a clear printed logo for Britannia Designs Ltd.
The mug is in great condition with no chips or repairs just a lot of age related crazing to the glaze which was common on such pieces.

The mug measures 4.9” (12.4cm) high by 4” (10.2cm) dimeter and weighs a heavy 415g.
