Victorian Brass and Metal Riding Boot Match Holder and Striker c1860
Here on offer is an antique Victorian brass and metal riding boot match holder and striker, circa 1860.
The main section of the detailed riding boot is probably made from pewter that was originally painted black but a lot of the paint has now worn away over time.
The top lip of the boot is made from polished brass, that now has a nice patina.
The bottom of the boot has a ribbed sole that is used as the match striker.
It is in great overall condition with just the loss of paint and some very light dings to the brass top rim.
It measures 2.4” (6.2cm) high and weighs a heavy 123g.
