Antique Victorian Open Frame Spring Assisted Corkscrew Possibly German c1890
Here on offer is a fine antique Victorian open frame, spring assisted corkscrew, possibly German, circa 1890.
It has a steel open frame and strong spring and is of the stye of a German patent in 1883 by Dunisch & Scholer, albeit this example is not maker marked.
It is in working order and excellent condition, with the metal now displaying an aged patina and the carved oak handle is undamaged.
With the spring just at rest, it measures 6.75” (17.2cm) long and the handle is 3.25” (8.3cm) wide.
It weighs 115g.
