WW2 Period Silver-Plated Tie Bar/Clasp with Submarine Engraved Justyn Edwards - July 1946

Here on offer is an unusual WW2 period handmade, silver-plated tie bar/clasp with a chain suspended plated metal image of what I believe is an allied WW2 submarine.

On the back of the submarine, it is engraved on the back with the owner’s name, that appears to read as:

Justyn Edwards
July 1946

On the back of the top bar, it has a strong clasp that will clamp against a tie or even a wide lapel.

It is in great condition with just some slight plating loss and oxidisation to the submarine. I can’t find another example like it? A truly unusual piece.

It measures 2.9” (7.3cm) wide and weighs 13g.
