Antique Scottish Horn Snuff Mull with Silver Fittings and Blank Silver Plaque c1860
Here on offer is an unusual shaped antique Scottish horn tip snuff mull, with silver fittings (tests as 925 silver) and a blank silver plaque on the top of the lid, circa 1860.
The lid still retains the aged cork seal on the inside which has a crack around the edge but seems sound and the silver hinge opens and closes as it should, forming a good fit.
The pointed horn section is in excellent condition, and the dark coloured horn lid is in perfect order.
It measures 4.5” (11.5cm) long and 2” (5.3cm) wide at the top.
It weighs 65g.
