Here on offer is a large 8” Scarborough “SEAREEL” oak fishing reel, circa 1940

A large 8” Scarborough “SEAREEL” oak fishing reel, with a ventilated spool, large black Bakelite winding handles and central brass wind-up pressure braking system.

This very large example has lost its maker’s label over time, which would have stated:

THE
SEAREEL
HAND MADE IN ENGLAND

It is in great condition with just some light scratches and dents to the varnish.

It makes a great display piece and can still be used today!

It measures 8” (20.3cm) diameter and the reel is 2” (5.1cm) deep.

It weighs a heavy 1Kg.
