Rare Art Deco Period Plated Matchless Cigarette Lighter by the Wolverhampton Die-Casting Co Ltd c1920

Here on offer is a rare Art Deco period plated Matchless cigarette lighter by the Wolverhampton Die-Casting Co Ltd, circa 1920.

This impressive Art Deco style lighter is in excellent condition, retaining all of its original plating.

On one side it reads:

MATCHLESS

MAZAK

On the other side:

MATCHLESS

DURAK

Then on one edge:

MANUFACTURED BY
THE WOLVERHAMPTON
DIE-CASTING CO LTD

On the other edge it has the recessed striker pad.

It still retains its original "everlasting" striker, that screws into the top of the lighter.

There is no fuel (petrol) in the lighter, to meet shipping regulations.

This is a very rare lighter that is in near mint condition and will make an impressive addition to any lighter collection.

It measures 2.1” (5.4cm) tall by 1.6” (4.1cm) wide at the top and 0.5” (1.3cm) thick.

It weighs 56g.
