Rare Georgian Period Cut-Steel Pocket Watch Chain c1820
Here on offer is a rare Georgian cut-steel pocket watch chain, circa 1820.
This genuine original Georgian period piece has been made from cut-steel and still retains its T-Bar, spring kook and additional small chain with suspension ring.
The chain itself is made up of long oval shaped rings alternating with small round rings.
It is in excellent condition for its age with just some light patches of surface rust pitting.
This scarce chain would really complement a period gunmetal finished pocket watch.
The chain measures 8.75” (22.3cm) long and the shorter chain is 2” (5.1cm) long, both including the T-bar.
It weighs 16g.
