Early WW2 German Army Officers Dagger Hangers with all Brass Fittings but Straps in Worn Aged Condition

Here on offer is a very early set of WW2 German Army Officer’s dagger hangers with all brass fittings but the straps in worn, aged condition.

Although this set is in very worn/used condition, the straps are still fixed to the top hanger, so they can still be used as dagger hangers, especially on an early Army Officer’s dagger.

This is actually the only set I have come across in all my years of collecting that have brass fittings.

The oval buckles and slides have the fine oak leaf pattern and the two lower oval shaped spring clips have a stippled finish and are in full working order.
The top hanger is the plan type and along with all the other fittings now have an aged patina to the brass. If they were ever silver plated, that has now worn off.

The two straps are in worn condition, mainly on the edges and top fittings, but still retain most of the silver brocade to the front and the brown velvet material on the back. Please see my photos.

The longest hanger measures 10.75” (27.4cm) from the top hanger to the tip of the lower clip and they weigh 80g.

These are a genuine early set of very early Army hangers that will compliment and complete any early WW2 period dagger, ideally one of the rare versions with a brass crossguard and pommel.

Please see my pictures for the details of the condition, which complement this description.
