Here on offer is a WW2 British chromed brass, “TOMMY” lighter, circa 1940.
The front of the lighter is impressed with:

ENGLAND
The lighter itself is made of a brass construction that has been chrome plated.
The top cover just pulls of the reveal the flint thumb wheel and the bottom cover also just pulls off so it can be fuelled and the you can gain access to the flint.
It is in working order but is being sold without a flint or any fuel to comply with shipping regulations.
This example is in great condition, has lost some of the chrome plating where the top cover has been removed and replaced. There are also a few shallow usage dents on the top and bottom covers.
It measures 2.75” (7cm) long and 1.2” (2.8cm) wide.
It weighs 45g.
