Genuine Full Size WW1 War, Victory & Star Medals to – FREDERICK CRAWLEY – DRIVER with Royal Engineers - Service No. 80225

Here is a TRIO of full-size WW1 BRITISH MEDALS being the WAR, VICTORY and 1914-15 STAR, correctly named to:

F. CRAWLEY (Frederick Crawley)

They come mounted and stitched on a long breast bar, which is quite flexible and are complete with the correct original ribbons.

They have the following information stamped on the lower rim and back of the STAR:

80225 DVR. F. CRAWLEY. R.E.

This means that FREDERICK CRAWLEY served in the ROYAL ENGINEERS as a DRIVER and his service number was 80225.

My last photo a copy of the XXXXXXX Medal records, for Frederick Crawley, which confirms he was issued with the British War, Victory and 1914/15 STAR Medals.

Some of the online Royal Engineer’s records show he served in France during WW1 and entered service on 26/07/1915, leaving the service on 10/02/1919.

Therefore, it looks like he was one of the lucky ones, who survived the Great War!

These full-size medals are in great original condition and have a lovely age patina.

Their combined weight is 95g.

A great TRIO set for any collector of WW1 Medals, relating to the Royal Engineers.
