WW2 British 20mm Brass Cannon Shell Case 1941 made by Raleigh Cycle Co., Carlton, Nottingham

Here on offer is a WW2 British 20mm brass cannon shell brass case 1941 made by Raleigh Cycle Co., Carlton, Nottingham.

I believe that these 20mm cannon cartridges were used by the RAF in various fighter aircraft during WWII.

This is a great example, in excellent condition and the brass now has a great patina to the finish.

The headstamp is stamped:

1941
20MM
R C

The manufactures letters “R C” stand for the Raleigh Cycle Co., of Carlton, Nottingham.

The case measures 4.3” (10.9cm) long and weighs 96g.
