Vintage Cast Aluminium Scottie Dog/Terrier Ashtray or Trinket Tray c1930

Here on offer is a vintage cast aluminium Scottie dog
ashtray or trinket tray, circa 1930.

The whole thing has been cast in two pieces, in aluminium that now has a bright and slightly oxidised finish in some areas. These types of pieces were made as “novelty” but useful items back in the 1930’s.

On the top edge it depicts a Scottie dog with a collar that is screwed to the dish shaped base.

As it doesn’t have any groves around the edge to rest a cigarette, it may well be a small trinket dish, for coins, keys, etc.

It is in excellent overall condition and is a great can still be used today!

It measures 4.75” (12cm) wide by 3.75” (9.5cm) deep and is 2.5” (6.4cm) tall.

It weighs 135g.
