Silver Sea Cadet Corps National Championships Swimming Medallion by F. Phillips Aldershot
Here on offer is silver Sea Cadet Corps, National Championships swimming medallion by F. Phillips of Aldershot.
Presumably awarded for a swimming competition sometime between WW1 and WW2 but I can’t be certain as it’s undated.
On the front, it has a detailed engraving of two swimmers in the water with another jumping into the water in the background.
It is also stamped F. Phillips Aldershot, near the lower edge.
On the reverse it has the Sea Cadets Corps insignia and motto, with Sea Cadet Corps National Championships, in raised lettering around the edge.
I believe this impressive circular medallion has been cast from sterling silver by the famous medal maker’s, F. Phillips of Aldershot, albeit it isn’t hallmarked.
This medal is truly a fine quality piece that is in beautiful condition, with some slight discolouration to the silver that would polish bright if required.
It measures 1.5” (3.8cm) diameter and weighs 26g.
