Antique Car Accessory - The Atlantic Bulb Box with Two Bulbs

Here on offer is a genuine, antique car accessory, “The Atlantic Bulb Box” with two bulbs.

This moulded brass bulb box is designed to hold 5 bulbs, 2 large and 3 small.

This example has one large bulb that fits its recess and a smaller bulb that doesn’t fit any of the recesses, but is included, as it may be of use. Both bulbs are sold as untested.

The box itself is in great working condition, with a strong hinge and swivel locking clip. There are some small dents and scratches to the finish but no holes and it still retains its original blue velour lining, which is slightly grubby.

The front is marked with raised lettering:

THE ATLANTIC BULB BOX

Then on the other side it is stamped with:

PRO. PAT
RdNo. 690243, which dates it to around 1922.

It measures 5.5” (14cm) diameter and weighs 210g.
