WW1 Aircraft Mahogany Propeller Tip Trinket Box with Padded Silk Patterned Lining

Here on offer is a WW1 aircraft mahogany propeller tip trinket box with padded silk patterned lining.

This is a lovely and original piece of aeronautical history, made from wood which has been fashioned from part of a WW1 aircraft propeller.

This fine example has been lined with a beautifully patterned silk material that is slightly padded on the bottom and under the removable lid.

The top of the lid has also been hand painted with what looks to me to be a poppy plant that has faded slightly over the years.

The box is in excellent order with just minor surface scratches and nicks to the edges.

It measures 10.5” (26.7cm) by 3.75” (9.5cm) by 2.25” (5.7cm) deep and weighs 260g.
