Art Deco Period Diamante Cluster and Silver Set Earrings c1936
Here on offer is a beautiful pair of Art Deco period diamante cluster and silver set earrings, circa 1936.
I just thought these may keep you partner happy as you explain you have bought yet another expensive piece of militaria for your ever-growing collection!
They have been made of high-quality faceted lead crystal glass diamantes and are set in sterling silver.
They have a fish hook style hoop with little jewel to the front, with a drop of three jewels that connect to a floral diamante cluster.
On the back, there are English Patent marks, “PAT.483401” for a patent registered in the UK in 1936. This relates to the cup system which is used to encase the jewels and hold them perfectly in place.
The earrings are in excellent/mint condition and with a brilliant sparkle, making them hard to tell from real diamonds.
They measure 1.4” (3.6cm) long, from the top of the loop to the tip of the cluster and weigh 4g.
