WW2 RAF Aerial Propaganda Leaflet Dropped over France – Dated 5th January 1943
Here on offer is a surviving copy of an RAF aerial propaganda leaflet that were dropped over France during WW2.
This copy is dated 5th January 1943.
This scarce example of the “Le Courrier De L’Air” that translates to “The Air Mail” has the headline: The Russian offensive grows and accelerates.
Apparently, thousands of copies of this type of leaflet were dropped over France, to raise the and maintain the moral of the French people. Not many have managed to survive to this day.
The leaflet is made from one sheet of thin paper that is folded in half to provide four pages of printed text and photos.
This is wonderful piece of allied WW2 memorabilia that is in great condition for its age, but needs to be treated with care, especially where it is folded
It each page measures 10.6” (26cm) by 8.5” (21.6cm).
