Reproduction WW2 German Political British - German Friendship Badge

Here on offer is a reproduction WW2 German Political British / German friendship badge.

My understanding is this style of badge was never actually produced, so is actually a fantasy piece, albeit German-British friendship lapel badges were produced and distributed by the German-British Friendship Union. This union was a pre-WW2 alliance of German and British fascists, in order to encourage friendship between the two nations.

On the front of the enamelled metal badge, it has the 'Ring fur Deutsch-Britisch Freundschaft' lettering around the central Swastika and British flag.

The reverse has a maker’s name DESCHLER & SOHN along with GES. GESCH and its brooch pin fitting.

It measures 1” (2.7cm) diameter and weighs 6.6g.
