Military Style D Survival Knife with 1000 Denier DPM Cordura Sheath and Belt Loop by Web-Tex
Here on offer is a military style D Survival Knife with a 1000 Denier DPM Cordura sheath and belt loop, by Web-Tex.
This is a modern and used copy of the famous British military issued D Type survival knife that where probably made in the late 1940’s or early 1950’s.
This heavy-duty survival knife has a wooden handle made up of to large wooden slabs that have been contoured to make the grip and secured in place by three large lacquered copper rivets.
The top pommel end of the handle has a hole and large metal ring for a wrist cord.
The 7” (17.8cm) large and heavy oval shaped broad parkarised blade has a single cutting edge.
On one side it is stamped with the maker’s name, Web-Tex.
The blade retains nearly all of its grey parkarised finish; there are just some light scratch marks and a few light knicks to the cutting edge.
It is complete with 1000 Denier DPM Cordura sheath with integral belt loop and securing strap with press-button catch.
The blade measures 7” (17.8cm) long and the knife is 12.2” (31cm) in total length, excluding the ring.
It weighs a heavy 555g.
