Period Framed Photo of a Boer War Commando c1900

Here on offer is a genuine period framed photo of a Boer War commando, circa 1900.

The impressive oval sepia photograph of the Boer commando, shows him in a Boer uniform and feather topped hat. There is a slight (minimal) area of lifting to the photo near the bottom edge of the frame. On the back of the frame is the original brown velvet backing cloth.

The glass fronted oval metal frame seems to be made from bronze, that now has a very dark patina to the finish and retains its hinged support arm on the back.

This will make a great addition to any Boer War collection.

It measures 5.4” (13.7cm) by 4.2” (10.8cm) and weighs 150g.
