Limited Edition Battle of Britain Museum - Hurricane Mk 1 – Commemorative Wall Plaque with Certificate and Box c1978

Here on offer is vintage Battle of Britain Museum, limited edition commemorative wall plaque that depicts the famous WW2 RAF Hurricane Mk1 fighter aircraft, circa 1978.

This wall plaque was made to raise funds for “Sussexdown” the Royal Air Forces Association home for disabled and chronically ill ex-members of the Royal Air Force.

The plaque comes with its original gold embossed box, tissue wrapping, maker’s card and detailed limited edition certificate No. 002088.

The thin detailed coloured image of the Spitfire has been made from a very hard plastic which has then been mounted onto a wooden rectangular board.

The signed certificate of authenticity explains that plaque was actually flown in a Hurricane from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight from RAF Coningsby on 19th July 1978.


It is in excellent condition and hard to find with all its original associated paperwork.

The plaque measures 18” (46cm) by 7” (18cm) and it weighs 810g.
