Limited Edition Battle of Britain Museum - Spitfire Mk 1 – Commemorative Wall Plaque with Certificate and Box c1978
Here on offer is vintage Battle of Britain Museum, limited edition commemorative wall plaque that depicts the famous WW2 RAF Spitfire Mk1 fighter aircraft.
These wall plaques were made to raise capital funds for the construction of the Battle of Britain museum in Hendon, in 1978.
The plaque comes with its original gold embossed box, tissue wrapping, maker’s card and detailed limited edition certificate No. 001247.
The thin detailed coloured image of the Spitfire has been made from a very hard plastic which has then been mounted onto a wooden rectangular board.
The signed certificate of authenticity explains that plaque was actually flown in a Spitfire from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight from RAF Coningsby on 16th April 1978.
It is in excellent condition and hard to find with all its original associated paperwork.
The plaque measures 18” (46cm) by 7” (18cm) and it weighs 810g.
