Unusual Japanese Vintage Double Sided Transparent Glass Pocket Compass with a Pouch

Here on offer is an unusual Japanese vintage double sided, transparent glass pocket compass with a pouch.

The compass is made from two convex glass domes that are fixed into a thin circular aluminium outer case.

Inside the glass it has an outer aluminium ring that on one side has a black background with the compass makings and on the other side is plain aluminium with dark markings and the word “JAPAN”.

Its transparent design allows for easy viewing of the compass needle and precise navigation.

It is in excellent condition with just some minor edge dings to the outer aluminium case.

It still retains its small suspension ring at the top.

This example also comes with a press stud, brown leatherette pouch with GERMANY stamped on the back.

It measures 45mm diameter, 10mm thick and weighs 15g.
