WW2 British Military Police Wooden Truncheon 1944

Here on offer is a what I believe to be a WW2 British military police wooden truncheon, dated 1944.

It has the usual turned grip and a long lower shaped section, that has the “Crows Foot” stamped on the side and “44” stamped on the top.

It is made from a light-coloured wood, possibly hickory and is in excellent, possibly unissued condition but does have some shallow dents towards the end.

There is no strap with this example.

It measures 18” (45.7cm) long, by 1.25” (3.3cm) diameter at the wide end.


It weighs 240g.
