Vintage Royal Marines Championships Gilt Bronze Medallion

Here on offer is a vintage Royal Marines Championships gilt bronze medallion.

The front depicts the image the cap badge of the Royal Marines with the words:

ROYAL MARINES
CHAMPIONSHIPS

On the reverse it has the image of a tied ribbon at the bottom and laurel leaves rising around the inner edges.

The centre is still blank with no dedication, indicating that this example was not actually awarded, or if it was, never got engraved?

The gilt finish has a lot of light scratched to the finish on both sides and actually looks worse in the photos than in the “flesh”, so to speak.

The medallion measures 1.75” (4.4cm) diameter and weighs 33g.
