Vintage Toy Luger Shaped Cork Firing Plastic Gun circa 1950
Here is a vintage toy Luger shaped cork firing plastic gun, circa 1950.
The toy gun is spring operated, and cocked by pulling back the plunger mechanism at the rear of the gun.
A small cork or pellet (not provided) can then be inserted into the top of the barrel and fired out by pulling the trigger.
I have not fired the gun with a cork, but it cocks and fires with a strong spring action.
The main body is made from a hard black plastic in the shape of a German Luger pistol.
I can’t find another example like it in any reference material I have and the only lettering on it is:
MADE IN GT. BRITAIN
It is in great condition, no splits or cracks, just the very tip of the barrel gun sight has chipped off.
It measures 6.25” (16cm) long and weighs 53g.
