Rare WW2 German Army Green Embossed Citation Binder

Here on offer is a rare WW2 German army embossed binder or folder.

It has actually been beautifully made with a dark green embossed thin leather covered card, front and back. There is also a gold embossed German army eagle on the front cover.

This was possibly made to hold a citation document for an achievement by a German officer?

I have had it for many years and it came from France with another indexed portable filing system, a leather briefcase and a leather writing set holder.

It has a sprung metal spine that will clamp any documents inside the folder. It has the addition of a hard card insert sleeve that has the same green washed pattern as printed on the inside of the covers.
It is in excellent condition with just slight wear to the covering on the top and bottom of the spine. There is also some light age related fading to the edges of the green washed pattern inserts.

It measures 10.7” (27cm) by 7.5” (19cm) and weighs 385g.
