WW1 German Trench Art Driving Band Bracelet with Black Enamel Iron Cross
Here on offer is a great example of a WW1 German trench art driving band bracelet with attached black enamel 1914 Iron Cross.
This bracelet has been made from a copper driving band salvaged from a WW1 German artillery shell.
A gilt finish was applied and it retains the original grooved pattern to the outer surface.
A minute detailed brass and black enamel 1914 Iron Cross has been applied to the centre of the band.
The band is hinged at one side, with the opposite side fitted with a fully working, inline release catch.
There is also a gilt wire safety chain to ensure it doesn’t just fall of your wrist when opened.
The interior of the band is smooth and doesn’t have any engraving.
The bracelet is in excellent condition with a slight dulling to the gilt finish.
It measures approximately 2.4” (6.1cm) by 2.5” (63.5cm) and weighs 39g.
