Original WW2 German Deluxe Hangers for a 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger

Here on offer is a beautiful pair of original WW2 German Deluxe Hangers for a 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger.

All the deluxe metal fittings (top clip, buckles, sliders and scabbard clips) feature raised oak leaves and the top and lower clips have the addition of acorns.

They all have a lovely dulled gilt/grey finish with aged patina and the detail of the raised detail is excellent.

On the reverse of the top clips it has the RZM image in an opened bottom circle with the reference U.E.10 and the D.R.G.M. mark.

The only reference I can find to the U.E.10 mark is as follows.

Apparently the “U.E.” indicates Uniformeffekten Erlaubnisschein (Uniform Accessories Licence) and the “10” indicates the maker’s numerical code. Sadly no listing of the U.E. codes is known to exist.

The lower clips each have the D.R.G.M. mark on the reverse.

All the spring clips are in full working order.

The fabric hangers are in excellent condition with mauve/grey fronts and sewn silver stripes.

The reverse of the hangers is a dark-grey/mauve velvet, with some slight rubbing marks at the top where they attach to the clip.

The straps are fixed to the top clip by being stitched on the very top edge.

An excellent set of original deluxe hangers that can only enhance any 2nd Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger.

They measure 11” (28cm) from the tip of the top clip to the end of the scabbard clip on the long strap and they weigh 90g.
