Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve RAFVR Enamel Lapel Badge

Here on offer is an original pre 1953 period 'Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve’ gilt lapel badge.

Made from gilt metal with a red enamel King's Crown and the 'RAFVR' title bar inlaid with pale blue enamel to solid centre.

There is a tiny piece of blue enamel missing next to the ‘R’, possibly a manufacturing fault.

It is in excellent condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting on the reverse.

It measures approximately 0.8” (20mm) high and weighs 3g.
